Certified Rolfer®, Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga Instructor
I first became interested in stretching and kinesiology (the study of human movement) while running high-school track. I took my first yoga class in 1991, and my interest in human structure and movement continued to grow. I have completed two yoga teacher trainings: one in the Ishta Yoga tradition, with Alan Finger, at Be Yoga, in NYC, and one at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA.
In 2001, I studied massage at the Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle, WA, (now closed) completing the 1200-hour training in 2002. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge by studying many advanced bodywork techniques. In 2009, I completed the six-month training at the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration, in Boulder, CO and became a Certified Rolfer®. |
In 2010, my passion for healing therapies led me to study at the University of Delaware's Physical Therapy program, where I received a Master's degree in Anatomy and Clinical Health Science. Since then, I have studied Neural Manipulation, Visceral Manipulation, and Craniosacral Therapy through the Barral Institute. I have also studied the Masterson Method of Equine Bodywork.
